A Legacy of
Four Generations
The story of Constructora Ormachea is, in many ways, the story of modern Bolivia. When others shut down, we kept building. When the market collapsed, we delivered. Sixty-three years on, we are still here.
Generational Leadership
Four generations, one unwavering purpose: every Ormachea returned from an elite international university to build Bolivia with greater rigour than the generation before. The professionalisation of a legacy.
Architecture degree, Univ. of Alabama · Prior Veterinary studies, UC Berkeley. At age 19, leaves Berkeley and inaugurates the chain of international academic excellence.
The graduating architect returns to Bolivia and formally establishes the firm alongside his father, merging field experience with academic credentials for the first time.
The Edificio Karman inaugurates the formal institutional portfolio. State contracts validate the firm's technical proposition and consolidate its reputation in La Paz.
COO with M.Sc. (Northwestern) and MBA (William & Mary). CEO with M.Arch & B.Arch (Texas A&M). BBA (UTPB) — the most credentialled leadership in the firm's history.
Jorge Ormachea Pacheco
Architect · B.Arch. & M.Arch. — Texas A&M University
"Architecture is the most honest language there is: time judges every structural decision and every design line. My commitment to Bolivia has been to build so that future generations can build on top."
Heir to an Academic Tradition
Jorge Ormachea Pacheco grows up in a family where international academic excellence is a generational imperative: his father left Veterinary studies at UC Berkeley at age 19 to study Architecture at the University of Alabama and co-found the firm. Following that legacy, Jorge pursues his own formation at Texas A&M University — one of the most rigorous architecture schools in the United States.
Founding Visionary
At the head of the strategic portfolio, Jorge Ormachea Pacheco has been the architect of a firm that makes no distinction between aesthetic and structural rigour. Every project bearing the Ormachea name reflects his conviction: Bolivian architecture deserves the same standards as the world's finest works — a conviction born in his father's blueprints and consolidated in the studios of Texas A&M.
