A Legacy of
Four Generations

The story of Constructora Ormachea is, in many ways, the story of modern Bolivia. When others shut down, we kept building. When the market collapsed, we delivered. Sixty-three years on, we are still here.

— Jorge Ormachea Pacheco, CEO

Heir to an Academic Tradition

Jorge Ormachea Pacheco grows up in a family where international academic excellence is a generational imperative: his father left Veterinary studies at UC Berkeley at age 19 to study Architecture at the University of Alabama and co-found the firm. Following that legacy, Jorge pursues his own formation at Texas A&M University — one of the most rigorous architecture schools in the United States.

Founding Visionary

At the head of the strategic portfolio, Jorge Ormachea Pacheco has been the architect of a firm that makes no distinction between aesthetic and structural rigour. Every project bearing the Ormachea name reflects his conviction: Bolivian architecture deserves the same standards as the world's finest works — a conviction born in his father's blueprints and consolidated in the studios of Texas A&M.

"At 4,200 metres above sea level, there is no margin for error. Structural redundancy is not a specification — it is a moral obligation. That conviction was forged on a job site, long before Northwestern gave it a name."
